Hi. I'm Doug. Thanks for "visiting." The quote on the left comes from Harry S. Truman, 33rd President of the U.S. and a one-time haberdasher from Independence, Missouri. Our "haberdasheries" are in L.A. on the famous "Sunset Strip" in Hollywood, and New York, N.Y. at our original location on Madison Ave. at 68th Street.

That's where Billy Martin and I started selling western goods to eastern dudes back in the 70's. I was a young sports agent at the time, transplanted to NYC from my home in Colorado. Billy was manager of the NY Yankees. The local sports media nicknamed him "the Kid."

His long-time pal, Mickey Mantle had introduced us a few years earlier. Mickey was our first customer and best well-wisher.

Billy said the idea to open the store was my idea, but if we became a success, it would be his idea. "The Kid" retired from the business in 1982, but his name and I stayed on.

Here's our new web site of western goods--for your consideration. It is dedicated to the memory of Billy and Mickey--two friends we won't forget.

I hope you enjoy it. If you see something inside that you like, call us up. Make us a deal. We aim to please--You have my word on it.

Thanks again for visiting and take care.
