Billy Martin's Ed Beesley Wins Cowboy Shooting Jubilee

NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 17, 2007 -- Billy Martin's USA, Inc. (Other OTC:BLYM.PK - News), the western-wear retail legend since 1978, has an authentic shooting champ on their advisory board.

Ed Beesley, a shareholder and longtime customer of the upscale NY boutique, has won the SASS World Championship of Mounted Shooting in the Senior Division 1 class at END of TRAIL, the World Championship of Cowboy Action Shooting & Wild West Jubilee.

Doug Newton, CEO and co-founder of Billy Martin's, said, "This marks the first time a Billy Martin's board member and/or shareholder has actually performed as good or better than Wild Bill Hickok, Annie Oakley, Calamity Jane, Buffalo Bill, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, all rolled into one. Shoot, those wild-west characters can't hold a candle to our Beese."

Beesley has been an active advisory board member at Billy Martin's since 1998, and an avid competitor in SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) since 1986. Competing in only his third mounted event, he captured this year's title by an impressive margin of more than 100 seconds over the six-stage event.

Mounted shooting is a sport combining elements of old-time Wild West Show exhibition, such as barrel racing, pole bending, reining, and other equestrian skills. These are all done at a full gallop while using two .45 caliber single action revolvers to shoot ten balloon targets set in a special random pattern, or Old West type scenario called a 'stage.' Mounted shooters are timed through the stage determining raw time plus any penalties incurred; for instance, 5 seconds added to raw time for knocked over barrel, dropped gun, missed target. The contestant with the fastest accumulated time wins.
